Santa Christmas Hat MINI Cupcakes

INGREDIENTS

All-purpose flour – 1 1/2 cups
Cup cocoa powder – 1/4 cup
Baking soda – 1 Tbsp
Granulated sugar – 1 cup
1 cup water
Oil 1/3 Cup
Vinegar – 1 teaspoon
Vanilla essence – 1 teaspoon

METHOD

Pre-heat oven to 180 C. Line a tray with cupcake liners. Mix flour, cocoa powder, and baking soda. Use a whisk to combine. Place a spoon of the mixture in the middle. Add water, oil, and vanilla essence.

You can use a rubber spatula or a spoon to mix all ingredients. Fill the lined tray with the batter, filling it almost to the top. Bake for between 25-30 minutes, or until a wooden skewer is visible.

Let cool before frosting.

ICING

Attach a small round tip at the end of your vanilla buttercream-filled piping bag. The strawberries should be cut at the ends so that they can stand upright on a flat base. With the piping bag, create a ring of vanilla buttercream on top of the cupcake large enough to hold the strawberry.

Put the strawberry in the center of the ring. To make a Santa hat, pipe some vanilla buttercream onto the pointed end of your strawberry.

Ice

Make triangles from brownies. Place a popsicle stick on the bottom. To emphasize the tree shape, color your buttercream green. Placer gold/silver/pink/blue/any color dragee along with your buttercream.

Make mini fondant stars and paint them gold. After the star has dried, glue it to the top of the brownie triangle with a bit of buttercream.

Christmas Hat Cupcakes from the Xmas Tree

Ingredients

All-purpose flour – 2 cups
Baking soda – 1 Tbsp
1/2 cup oil
Sugar – 1 Cup
1 cup yogurt
Vanilla essence – 1 Tbsp
1 cup milk

Method

Pre-heat oven to 180 Celsius. Prepare a tray of cupcake liners. In Big bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Add oil, sugar, vanilla, and milk to a separate bowl. Mix well. Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients.

Bake the batter on the prepared tray for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Let cool before frosting.

Icing

Frost the cupcakes with vanilla buttercream. Place a waffle cone at the center of the cupcake by cutting it to the right height. Use a small star tip to fill a piping bag with green buttercream—pipe ‘leaves’ around the cone, starting at the bottom and going up.

Decorate the tree with pearls and dragee. Please make a small star from fondant and then paint it gold. The star should be inserted on top of the tree.

Sprinkle some icing sugar onto the tree’s top with a spoon to make snow.
